Purpose

The purpose of this RFA is to provide guidance for current contractors to submit continuation applications to the Iowa Department of Public Health (referred to as Department) to renew service provisions as described by and within the project period established by the RFP #58818005. Services covered by this application include HIV and hepatitis C testing, and hepatitis A and B immunizations. This program promotes health equity by promoting service delivery in a manner that best serves those who are disproportionately impacted by the HIV and hepatitis epidemics including men who have sex with men, African American/Black people, Hispanic/Latinx people, and people with current or past injection drug use

09/16/2022 Is there a breakdown of funds that need to be spent for January September and then October December? No. Budget allocation periods are not part of the RFA budget planning process. Distribution of awarded funds occurs after the notice of intent to award has been posted.
09/19/2022 1. We are a current PWID pilot project site. Should/can we include activities and expenses to continue the project? No. Pilot project continuations will be addressed after the RFA review period.
09/19/2022 1. Will there be any in-person trainings or conference opportunities we should budget for in 2023. If so, will it include more than a 1-day trip so that we include lodging and meal expenses? No. There are currently no required in-person training or conferences planned related to this RFA.
