Purpose
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) # 58823010 is to solicit applications that will enable the Iowa Department of Public Health (referred to as Department) to select the most qualified applicant to provide radon outreach, education and the distribution of radon test kits and awareness information throughout Iowa as a support to the existing radon program at the Department.
Iowa’s radon program is supported by the State Indoor Radon Grant (SIRG), a cooperative agreement with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 7. Region 7 includes the states of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. Components of the Department's existing program include the certification of radon measurement and credentialing of mitigation specialists, certification of radon testing laboratories, and conducting outreach to promote radon testing and mitigation.
