Description

It is the responsibility of the Applicant to review all attachments listed in the section below, including the Request for Application (RFA).

The issuance of the RFA in no way constitutes a committment by the Iowa Department of Public Health to award a contract.

Excerpts from the RFA:

Purpose

The purpose of this RFA is to provide guidance for current contractors to submit continuation applications to the Iowa Department of Public Health (referred to as Department) to renew service provisions as described by and within the project period established by the RFP #58817026 and #58818008.  Services covered by this application include capacity and provision of quality WIC services to WIC applicants. The RFA serves to:

  • Provide quality WIC services,

  • Maintain and advance integration of public health activities,

  • Maintain and advance delivery of essential services and core public health functions, and

  • Build stronger relationships with community partners.

The WIC Program specifically targets populations that face barriers to service and experience health disparities (iron deficiency anemia, lower breastfeeding rates, infant mortality, premature births, etc.).
