The following entities are encouraged to apply: non-profit organizations, local governments, schools, and community and faith-based organizations. Applicants must be currently providing mentoring services to youth affected by opioids and in a service area that is rural. Additionally, applicants must have a system for fiscal oversight and for tracking outcomes for youth and family in their programs.
Applicants may request $50,377, and up to six grants will be awarded. The source of fund is federal award from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, CFDA Number 16.726
Iowa Grants Management System (www.IowaGrants.gov): This web-based system is used by the State of Iowa for the submission and tracking of grant applications. All applicants who wish to receive a mentoring grant must utilize the Iowagrants system to submit their request.The IowaGrants system will be open for applications on or before November 26, 2018. Individuals who do not have an account must register to obtain one.
